Note
public issue #485, PR #486, merged on 2026-03-06. upstream added the lower-bound validation for malformed EFI_SIGNATURE_LIST parsing in parseEfiSignatureList.

F-GO-ATTESTATION-001: Input / state handling. Malformed EFI list lengths underflow before the required lower-bound check. Reviewed 24 Sep 2026. Mechanism assessed by 1seal.

Mechanism source for F-GO-ATTESTATION-001

Security area (1seal assessment): Availability. Malformed EFI signature-list lengths can cause an infinite loop or an approximately 4 GiB allocation and OOM panic. The checked Go parser therefore concerns availability, not established memory corruption. Reviewed 24 Sep 2026.

How this page groups evidence

This identifier groups recorded evidence; it is not an additional CVE, independent-vulnerability count or guarantee of vendor confirmation. Fixed code, released versions, attribution and independent discovery are distinct claims. Absent metadata means not recorded, not disproved. Counting rules.
